Mary Dalton

Artist Statement

My work is mixed media print based, ranging from etchings through to stone lithographs.  I deal with the ever changing and fragile subject of humans relationship to the landscape, how we interact with this, what we create to deal with its challenges and what political/ethical questions arise from our interactions.  Anthropology plays a huge role in my work, and I draw inspiration from subject matters that are both emotive and hugely political.

I enjoy using a variety of media at my disposal as creativity is always changing and evolving.
